Dress Sizes

So I went dress shopping the other day because I am getting married to my boyfriend soon and I wanted to see the available choices out there in my price range.  I discovered something incredibly annoying because I am actually about average when it comes to body size.  I am not the stick thin person everyone is always jealous of, but I am not the slightly chunky person that everyone is always waiting to gain a few pounds so she passes into the making fun of stage.  I am smack dab in the middle of the two.  My dress size, depending on the dress, is a size thirteen or so.  This being said, my dress size in wedding dress speak is about two to three sizes abouve that.  I hate that…the sales associate at the store told me the reason was because it is in European dress sizes and they were different than here in the United States.  That’s when I decided to just make my own dress, or where something that is not a traditional wedding dress.  I do not know which it would be yet.  I already have insecurities about my size, and then the wedding dresses had to throw this at me, too?!
