It used to be that no one wanted to be asked to be a bridesmaid. The wedding pictures that you look at from the 1970′s until the mid 90′s show the forlorn faces of some of the brides best friends. It looks as if they are saying to themselves, “I can’t believe I agreed to this, how could she do this to me!”. There were puffed sleeves, dresses full of tulle and pinned on flowers, even some that look like you belong in the south in the year 1850.
Boy have those days changed now! Ofcourse, once and a while you do see some maids with yucky dresses walking down the aisle, but for the most part, the dresses have come a looonnnngg way! When you go to a store like David’s Bridal, you will see that they have such a wide variety of dresses now. Dresses of different lengths, an array of colors, different fits and flares. You can even take into account the size and shape of your bridesmaids or maid of honor, and find a look that works for everyone. Remember, be nice to your bridesmaids.. They are the ones planning your showers
