On choosing a venue

June 30, 2009

Choosing the location for the wedding function is an important consideration while tying the knot, and this generally depends on the type of wedding.

A simple religious wedding would invariably be held in the church or any other place of worship, and for the sake of convenience the reception should be held in a nearby hall, if conducted immediately after the wedding. Most people conduct the reception at some hotel, which would mean that the wedding families would not have to bother much with the arrangements.

An important consideration while fixing the venue would be accessibility for the guests. Hotels and places of worship would obviously be well connected and close to civilizations so that guests, even those depending on public transportation. If the number of guests who depend on public transportation are many, the time of the function should be adjusted so that they are not inconvenienced, and even in the numbers are few and the wedding time happens to be inconvenient to reach their homes, arrangement for dropping them at the homes would be ideal.
