Taco bar
June 26, 2009
A neat idea for a wedding meal is a taco bar. This is very simple to pull off and quite easy to make. You will need the following for it: several pounds of ground beef, taco seasoning, shredded lettuce, tomatoes, green onions, black olives, shredded cheese, taco sauce in mild, medium, and hot, salsa, jaelepeno peppers, tortilla shells, hard taco shells, tortilla chips, doritos, and fritos. YOu may also include cheese sauce and chili.
This is great to do if you are pressed for time for a meal. You can make the taco meat a few weeks ahead of time and then freeze it in a deep freeze and then just pop it into a crock pot the morning of the wedding.
The meal will go over well. People can decide if they want a hard shell or a soft shell or they may opt to do a nacho plate or a taco salad. Plus with the different types of sauces everyone can customize theirs.
