The Buffet

June 5, 2009

A buffet for a wedding reception is always the easiest and possibly the cheapest way to go. It might sound less than classy, but this trend is getting more popular and quite acceptable at receptions. If you choose the right food, it can even add to the appeal of the dinner. Just because its a buffet, it doesn’t mean you have to choose ribs and corn on the cob! Make it elegant if you wish, or even festive. If you have a theme, go along with that.

If tropical is your theme, get black forest ham with pineapple slices, a fresh salad and hawaiian rolls. If the theme of your wedding is more formal, you can choose fried chicken, mash potatoes and a salad. Most buffets at a wedding reception should have a salad component, meat, two sides, a bread of some sort, and a fruit salad or something similar.
