The Defected Wife is a weekly update of the life of a not-so-newlywed. As the eupohoria from the wedding fades and the morning sickness sets in (did we also mention she’s in her second trimester?–darn pills didn’t work!) and The Husband is now The Big Lug I Married who leaves his boxers all over the floor, she is now trying to make sense of things, keeping her marriage together with the man she loves while keeping her sanity intact through it all!

Getting married and staying married

It seems like divorce is happening a lot now a days and there are a million reasons why I guess. When me and my husband got married we said if we do this divorce is not an option, and I think a lot more people need to take on that attitude that you just simply do not make divorce an option marriage is suppose to be a scared convenant between two people and God it should not be something that can be easily broken, things happen and life is hard sometimes but there should be ways that you can work it out and learn how to comprise with each other.

If you are planning a bridal shower for some one, normally it’s done right before the wedding, keep it simple dont over stress yourself, keep the guest list small to a handful or so of the bride and grooms closest friends and family members that way the food and all the other activites can be planned a lot easier.

There are alot of us guy’s that do have the tendisy to forget our aniversery because that we do not think of it, and that we are so busy and that we do forget. But there are ways of not forgetting and that is having it on a holiday week end, like mine this year it is on Monday, May 25. So, I am going to try to do something special for my wife, on monday morning. And that i am going to try to pamper her in which she deserves for being married to me, but the main thing is that i love her ever so much. It is the little things that a woman does not forget nothing.

Finding out after getting married that everything changes, because that you are no longer looking after for yourself. But for another person and they are depending on you for things, and that you have someone to go home to after work and to talk to as well instead of staring at 4 walls every day. Which that can get old very quickly, and that some of your habits do change but not too soon [haha]. I get onto my wifes nerves every day, and that i like doing it sometimes, all i do is go into the next room and laugh about it, and another thing that i love to do is to tease her, even though she hates it, i enjoy doing it. But the main thing is that we both love each other ever so much, i will send her a email telling her how she is so important and love her.

One of the main groom accessories is the sherwani with a diamond cufflink and along with this is the turban which can be used with different fabrics like tie dyes, leheriyas or self woven brocades.
