Cash Gift on Wedding Invites
May 20, 2009
I know that life nowadays is not that easy specially that we are all experiencing financial crisis. But I don’t think couples are allowed nor it’s reasonable enough to put in your invites something like “if you wish to give a gift, monetary present is preferable and much appreciated” or any other way of saying you prefer cash gift. For me if I see those kind of words in a wedding invite it’s no longer a wedding invitation but more of a solicitation. Besides not all people are broad minded and can look at this in a possitive way. Like for some cultures and tradition this kind of wordings is odd for them. So I think if the couple wants nor prefer cash gifts it’s more proper if they verbalize it but also consider the fact that they should wait for the invitees to ask which they prefer. Remember the event is a wedding, a union of two souls and not a charitable event.
