For the bride, one of the most exciting events prior to the wedding is the bridal shower. Now, what do you actually need to know when holding such an event?
First, who should organize and hold the bridal shower? Most of the time, it’s the maid of honor’s task. Or it may also be a collaborative effort of the bridesmaids (or the females in the wedding entourage). Quite honestly, anyone can actually organize it.
Who do you invite? Most of the time, you invite the female family members and friends of the bride. It is completely optional to invite the guys. It’s really up to you.
Now what’s in the to-do list?!! Well, you need to think first of the theme, if you decide to have one. It is not compulsory, but it’d be really fun. Everything that’s going to happen in the shower would revolve around your theme – invitations, venues, games, etc.
You need to give out the invitations first. As soon as you’ve finalized the guest list, it’s about time to send out the invitations. In this way, you’ll give people ample notice of the event. Ofcourse, prior to this, you need to reserve the venue first and decide on the food that you’ll be serving the guests.
Before the shower, start on the program. Who will emcee the event? What are the games that you’ll be playing? What’s the flow of the entire program?
As soon as you’re finished with this, take some time to buy tokens for the guests and game prizes (if you have the budget).
