Ways to save on a wedding

If you want to make cut backs on your wedding, there are things that you can do to save you a ton. The first suggestion I have is to make the food yourself. This will save you lots of money as caterers are often very expensive. Another way to save is to make the cake yourself. But if you are sold on having a fancy cake, just buy a little one, and then have either sheet cakes or cupcakes to serve that you have made yourself. Or you could try serving cookies or brownies as well. It does not have to be the traditional cake especially if you are not having a traditional wedding.
You could also hire a photographer that has just started their business. This will save you a lot. Just request to see some of their work before hand to make sure you like their style.
Go to dollar stores to get your candles and utensils as well as plates and napkins. They often have a variety of colors.
