Great Gifts for your wedding party

January 18, 2009

You want to thank your bridesmaids and groomsmen for being a part of your special day, but how? Here are some easy ways to thank them without breaking the bank.
For your bridesmaids, the gift you give them can be the earrings and necklace that they wear in the wedding. Or you can treat them to a manicure the day before the big event so everyone has great looking nails.
For the groomsmen, you may opt to give them a 12 pack of their favorite beer. Or how about a small bottle of liquor with a shot glass? Or you could try giving them a flask to hold their favorite liquor.
Another great idea to say thanks is to make a cd of songs that were played at the wedding and the dance. This is a great way for others to remember your special day.
Any gift that you choose will be wonderful and your wedding party will be grateful for it.

Wedding Photo Albums

January 15, 2009

The photographers at the Wedding Bureau Photographer Blog explain the difference between Matte and Flush albums.

There are so many album style choices these days. Excluding the “coffee table” album, the basic choice is between a modern look and a more traditional look. The “matted” style albums are more traditional while “flush” albums are more modern.

They get their names from the way the images are mounted into the album. A matted album is just that; it has a matt around each picture on each page, much like a matt around a painting you might have framed to hang on your wall. A flush album is when a picture or pictures are printed on a piece of photo paper that is the size of the pages in your album. That photo paper is then mounted directly onto the page. The surface is flat or “flush”.

Bridesmaid Duties

January 14, 2009

Wedding Bureau talks about what a good bridesmaid needs to do to help her bride:

We’ve written a lot for the bride, but what about the bridesmaids?

Bridesmaids should help brides-to-be with prewedding tasks. A thoughtful bride shouldn’t ask her ‘maids to tie hundreds of bows on hundreds of favors or send them on endless errands. But bridesmaids should expect to help stamp and address invitations or pick up Great-Aunt Maud at the airport.

Dresses For Bridesmaids

January 13, 2009

We talk a lot about the bride’s dress, but what about the bridesmaids’ dresses? Their dresses will feature just as much in your wedding photos!

You’ve chosen your wedding dress, and now it’s time to choose your bridesmaids’ outfits. Think about the flowers you’d like to have to have, the venue and of course, how you’d like your wedding pictures to look.

Many friendships have been strained or broken over bridesmaid dress selection. Brides, remember that these are your very best friends, and do try to take their needs into account. Include a wrap or another cover if the wedding will be held outdoors, even your best friends don’t want to shiver.

Themed Favors

January 12, 2009

From the Wedding Bureau Photographer Blog:

Some wedding favors, like those ever-present pastel Jordan almonds wrapped in tulle, are best forgotten. But others are sweet mementos of a friend’s big day.

Your wedding’s theme can give you inspiration for creative keepsakes. Creative brides have given colored pencils for a reception in an art gallery, packets of seeds for an outdoors wedding or playing cards for a Vegas-style wedding. Consider personalizing a small bottle of a favorite food, like a hotsauce or a jam, with your names and the date. If you didn’t use magnets for your save-the-dates, have keepsake magnets made, and add the guest’s names to use them as place cards. One wedding had the couple’s names etched on the guests’ wineglasses, which could be taken home afterwards as a wedding favor.

Ah, gaming romance. I love stories like this, and ruin the stereotype of anti-social gamers, and the stereotype that all gamers are men.

The bride, who is a retailer, and the groom, who is a pre-school teacher, have been avid Artix gamers for three years. They live in southwestern Missouri and decided to share their union with fellow gamers worldwide.

“We thought this was a unique opportunity to do something memorable,” said Bello.“We decided to go with AdventureQuest Worlds because we’ve been playing Artix games for years now and almost feel like we’ve been a part of Artix Entertainment’s maturation as a gaming company.”

Deciding whether or not is a very big decision. Who ever knows if they really have found the right person? The countries divorce right went threw the roof. I don’t believe that people take things as seriously as in the past.
Yeah, we all want somebody to spend the rest of our lifes with, but at what cost. Are you willing to give up half of your stuff? What their’s is your’s, and what is their’s is your’s. Where do you even find this right person? How long do you take to get to know this person? Everyone has their own opinions on these questions.
Be careful on how you choose to spend the rest of your life. You might end up losing things it took your whole life to build up.
Let’s find that special someone and tie the knot, and please stay out of the court rooms.
Or just start giving everything away now.

Wedding program

January 4, 2009

What are you going to spend 2009 year ? what is your business on this year have been planned ? Are you going to use a wedding program? on this occacion I’ll give you some tips on what to include in your wedding program. from my knowing there are three main sections that will need to be included in your program.

The first thing everyone will see is the cover. The cover of the wedding program you will need to include a picture of yourselves, date, location and your names.
The second thing you need to let everyone know about is all the events you are having and in some cases the time of that specific event. List everything that will be happening at the ceremony such as scripture readings, the music that you are having, prayers, exchanging of your vows and so on.
The third thing you will need to list is all of your bridesmaid and groomsmen and everyone in your bridal party. Just keep it simple list the names and the role they have at your wedding. Here is an example list. Parents of the Bride, Maid of Honor and so on. Just keep it simple. You do not have to list everyone but a thank you note would be nice to the people who play the smaller roles.

Make it fun by including your heritage and some other rituals and traditions your families might have. List all the items when you request singing, praying times, or guest participation. All of your detail list showing all the people who need your service would be like it. be careful to show every thing you able to do that but you didnt at the end.
