Themed Favors

Some wedding favors, like those ever-present pastel Jordan almonds wrapped in tulle, are best forgotten. But others are sweet mementos of a friend’s big day.

Your wedding’s theme can give you inspiration for creative keepsakes. Creative brides have given colored pencils for a reception in an art gallery, packets of seeds for an outdoors wedding or playing cards for a Vegas-style wedding. Consider personalizing a small bottle of a favorite food, like a hotsauce or a jam, with your names and the date. If you didn’t use magnets for your save-the-dates, have keepsake magnets made, and add the guest’s names to use them as place cards. One wedding had the couple’s names etched on the guests’ wineglasses, which could be taken home afterwards as a wedding favor.
