Going green is the theme for just about everything these days as we strive to better our environment. So when it comes to planning your wedding, why not go green there as well? Here are some tips to help you go green on your big day:

Look for invitations printed on recycled paper.
Use organic foods when possible for receptions and rehearsal dinners
Use local vendors if you can. This will help with your community and will cut back on energy used to transport items.
If you are renting cars for transportation, research for cars and limos that have been converted to reduce emissions.
Send leftover food and flowers to a good home after the party–do not let them be thrown out.
Instead of party favors for guests, make charitable donations in the guest honors.
