A friend of mine getting married

November 24, 2008

A friend of mine is getting next week. I truly congratulate him on the phone in advance. Last time, he called me up, ask me if I can attend his wedding ceremony early in the morning. Because according to Vietnamese tradition. Groom’s family and Bride’s family have to get together in the morning, exchange the rings and pay their respect to their elders in the both side families. He asked me if I can attend to observe. I declined it, due to the reason it will be too early, and I don’t speak VietNamese.

He will be the first one among 4 of us to get married. He was a good person with a lovely wife I guess. I actually never met his wife, but he posted his wedding photos on the facebook.com. I saw them, and they are great for each other. I will definitely dress up myself to attend his wedding. He was a good friend of mine during college years. Now, time flies, he is getting married, unbelievable. For me, I am still single, and I hope that I will meet the person of my love too. Sometimes, I was so jealous on others who find their soul mate at last. For me, it was just a hard - to - achieve task to do.
