Hairstyles

September 27, 2008

Wedding is really one of the most special even tof our life so better make a good looking hairstyle for this day.

Most of the weddings that I attended I noticed that the brides were having a simple french twist as their hairstyle but if they only make some experiments before the wedding day they will find some other styles that will perfectly suit their face well. Finding a good hairstyle for yourself does really adds good looks on that special day so better hire an expert hairstylist that knows well.

What dinner for your wedding

September 26, 2008

It is really important to choose the right dinner for your wedding and not only the right one but also the best one. There are 3 kinds of dinner you can organize which can suit your budget.
The cocktail dinner, it is the most cheaper because yours guests will stand and they will not sit. It doesnt require a lot spaces, avoid to have too much waiters and you will not need to rent a lot of tables, chairs and other complementaries (but you need to have some chairs and tables because your guests need to rest, moreover if there are old people).
The buffet, you will need chairs and tables since your guests have to seat if they want to eat. You will need waiters to serve the food to your guests and also a head waiter who can take care of the right portion of foods for your guests. But not only that, he is here to supervise any incidents which can occur.
The dinner, it is the most expensive but also the most classic wedding dinner. Normally you will have to reserve a room only for you in a restaurant and the same menu is serving for all guests.

The Perfect Gown

September 21, 2008

One of the most significant decisions you will consider when planning your wedding is selecting the perfect gown. Whether you already know the style you want or you are just starting to ponder on some general idea, there are a few things that you need to consider before purchasing the dress that is meant to dazzle your man.

Of course you have to consider what is appropriate on your venue and theme. You may also consider minor things such as the weather; the time of your wedding, whether it will be in the morning, afternoon, or evening; and your budget. Do consider as well the type of tuxedo or coat your man will wear. You do not really have to match and be exactly the same but at least make sure that you will look like a “couple” in your wedding attires.

But most importantly, your gown should reflect your personality. The dress that you’re going to wear when you present yourself to the love of your life should be something that resembles your being. This will make you more confident thus making you feel more beautiful. Try on different styles that you want and see which one fits, moves, looks, and feels just like you.

When you find the perfect gown, go buy it. Period. Purchase it the moment you have decided that it is the perfect dress for you and stop looking. You’ll never know if that is the last time you’ll see that gown because someone else might consider it their “perfect gown” as well. So when you find it, go ahead and buy it!

Dream Wedding

September 20, 2008

Many of the girls was dreaming to be a bride. To wear that fancy white gown and walk down those lovely aisle. But is this still possible to have on the days of crisis? Weddings are expensive to have specially those that we dream of. So better stick on that simple weddings wherein you can still save some of the money you have for the future than spend everything just for a day of occasion.

Rushing into Things

September 19, 2008

Getting engaged is not something to be taken lightly and basically means that you are willing to spend the rest of your life with your partner. That is a huge commitment and you need to think about it carefully before rushing into anything. When you are in the honeymoon stage of your relationship your partner can seem like the most amazing person on earth with no flaws. Acting on impulse you may decide that you can’t wait and want to get engaged straight away. While this may seem romantic it can also set you up to fail. You need to have seen your partner in all lights before you make such a big commitment. You need to wait for the honeymoon to fade and know what it will be like to be together in stark daylight.

Having Doubts

September 19, 2008

Getting married is a huge commitment and it is understandable that you may begin to question it. This is normal and usually you will come to your senses and realise that it is what you want. However, sometimes those nagging doubts just won’t go away. You may have felt pressurised into it, be pregnant and though it was for the best, or just caught up in the excitement. Either way you need to think seriously about what you want. Once the venue is booked and the dress is bought you may feel like it is too late too pull out but it isn’t. Yes, you may let a few people down but you be will be letting yourself down if you go through with it.

The Time is Right

September 19, 2008

Even if a proposal comes out of the blue and you weren’t expecting it, you will know if it feels right. Once you have been with your partner long enough to know if you are suited and that you work well together then you are likely to start considering your future. Enough marriages fail already that there is no point agreeing to something you don’t feel passionately about as you are just setting yourself up for failure. If you are in love and want to spend the rest of your lives with each other then that is a good reason to get engaged. Enjoy it, announce it and start planning the wedding – just know you are doing it for the right reasons. Getting engaged is an exciting and memorable event and you don’t want it to be marred by doubts. Know what is right for you and stick to it.

Wooing Bridesmaids

September 19, 2008

A piece on wooing bridesmaids on Here Comes the Blog!:

It’s hard to believe that one of your dearest friends would say “no” to the honor of being a bridesmaid in your wedding, but I’m here to tell you it’s happening more and more. Even at the risk of damaging a longtime friendship, many women are unwilling to accept the financial obligation that goes along with what is becoming a dubious “honor.” Let’s see–there’s the dress, the shoes, the hair, the make-up, the nails, the bridal shower, the bachelorette party, a wedding gift. If it’s a destination wedding, there’s airfare, accommodations, food. Bridesmaids are often out $1000 to $2000 or more, and all they get in return is a chartreuse dress they’ll never wear again. It’s easy to understand why, after one or two stints as a bridesmaid, some women will opt out of the bridesmaid business.

If you want your friends to say “yes” to the chartreuse dress, I have a few suggestions that will help get them to gladly participate in your wedding

I have to agree here, it can get expensive and stressful ‘maiding for Bridezilla! These two were my favorite tips:

4. Let your bridesmaids wear their own jewelry, or give them special jewelry as a bridesmaids gift.

5. Let your bridesmaids do their own hair, make-up and nails, or pick up the tab for the salon.

Amish Weddings

September 19, 2008

An article on Amish wedding on Here Comes the Blog! Here’s a quick except of a much longer piece.

Did you know that most Amish weddings take place in November or December, after the harvesting season is over? And while most of us look for weekend dates for our weddings, among the Amish Tuesdays or Thursdays are the popular days of the week to get married because a full day before and after are needed to prepare for the Amish wedding, and this can never include a Sunday. The wedding ceremony and feast are typically held in the home of the bride’s parents.
