Wedding Music

i’m helping out a friend in planning for her wedding 6months away. I prepared a list of songs that she might choose or consider for the wedding. I am excited as she is and though I am not one of the bridesmaid, I am more than happy to be the one assisting and helping her out through the tedious preparation process.

for the procession i think cannon in d by pachelbel will do just fine

for the bridal walk, my friend wantes “angels brought me here” by guy sebastian or “ikaw” by regine velazquez. i also suggested only time by enya or ave maria if they need a religious song.

for the marraige vows/rites – i suggested the instrumental version of “the gift” or piano solo by enrico morroine

for the interlude or while they’re having their pictorials, i suggested that they play some of these songs:
one love by the carpenters
say it by voices of theory
from this moment
thank god i’ve found you

for the reception and dinner instrumental classics or kenny g or bossa nova music will surely do.

for my friend’s dance with her dad she wantes “butterfly kisses” which i think is a really lovely and fitting song for father and daughter dance.

and for their first dance as husband and wife, she wants “i’ll take care of you” by richard poon.

so i think i’ve a nice list of songs for my friend. we still have much time to make changes and other arrangement before we finalize this.
