Electronic Invitations

April 23, 2008

Electronic wedding invitations are a great solution for wedding planning since there is so much attention on helping the environment. There are several ways to handle electronic invitations.

One option is to create a personal website with all of your wedding information. You can have your engagement picture, your registry listing and link, directions and maps and even some great music. You can send friends and relatives a message inviting them to your wedding with a link to the website.

Another option for electronic invitations is to send out all the announcement and invitation information via email to all of your guests. You can ask for an email RSVP from everyone. There are some great stationary pieces that you can use electronically to give the email a wedding feel and theme.

I actually prefer real invitations. There is just something about a nice wedding invite that sets the tone for the rest of the wedding. I would actually do a real wedding invitation and then also do an electronic invite for reminders and what not. But something like a vintage letterpress wedding invitation will go a long way in making your guest understand just how special this day is.

Got something to say?
